I am writing “As I Remember” because I wanted to write my memoirs–to leave the history of my family for my children; I wanted to give my grandchildren and great-grandchildren an idea of what life was like growing up on the farm 80 and 90 years ago. 

I have wanted for a long time to write a book to tell people how God, through Jesus Christ, could and would take care of you through any circumstances, as he has done for me.

All of the accounts, descriptions, and dates are recorded as I personally remember and/or experienced them, together with information and history that was told to me by my parents and our maternal grandmother, Amy Parker.
